What is the recommended browser for the best visitor experience?

Chrome and Safari are the most common browsers used in the UK and are the best supported by the platform. If you are using a different browser and are having problems, then we suggest you switch to Chrome or Safari and re-enter the site.

I can’t see the website properly or buttons/links aren’t working … what should I do?

Most problems such as these are caused by old or less-common browsers. We suggest you try using Chrome or Safari to access the site.

How do I contact an Exhibitor?

Go to the Exhibitor section using the navigation links at the top of the page. You can then search, filter by product or browse alphabetically. Click on their entry and you will go through to their virtual “exhibition stand”. We suggest you start by watching their introductory video (if they have recorded one) and then click on the Chat icon on the right-hand side.

You can contact all exhibitors by typing into their Chat Box but some have the functionality to do audio calls as well … just look out for the phone symbol at the top of the Chat Box … it is often quicker to talk than type!

How do I contact Build It Experts?

Experts from Build It magazine are available via the “Advice” section on the top navigation bar. Just go to that page and click on the Chat Box.

How do I contact the Organisers Office?

You can chat with the team in the Organisers Office via the link in the website footer (under the Graven Hill logo).

No-one answered when I tried to message an exhibitor?

Don’t worry, the exhibitor may be busy with another customer or unavailable but they will receive your message and get back to you as soon as they can, providing you have left your phone number or email address.

How do I end a chat?

To end a chat, click the menu option at the top of the chat box (3 horizontal lines that some call a hamburger). You can choose to end a call here and even have a copy of the text chat – including any links provided – emailed to you.

If I end a chat by accident can I start it again?

Yes, simply refresh the page and click on the widget again.

How do I watch a seminar?

You can access the seminars via the Main Stage which can be reached via the top navigation menu. The Seminar Programme option tells you at what time they will be broadcast.

Can anyone see me if I watch a seminar?

No, it’s a one-way viewing system so no one will be able to see you or hear you.

How do I ask questions in seminars?

There will be a Q&A icon where you can type in questions and they will be answered at the end of the seminar. You are not able to ask them in person (via audio or video).

Can I come back later on?

Of course. But the show is only open from 10-5 this Saturday and Sunday. It’s like a real-world show once it is over, it is over! If you choose to come back on Sunday you will simply be asked to login once again, there is no need to re-register.

Will recordings of the seminars be available?

No, we are afraid not. We have decided to run this as a purely live show so that the exhibitors get maximum benefit from their investment in the show weekend.

Will exhibitors be given my contact details?

No! We believe that it is up to you whether you want to give your phone number or email address to exhibitors. If you want to see you want to see our Data Privacy Policy in full you can see a link in the footer of this page.
